World Bank Resources Online
World Bank Publications are accessible online from tomorrow onwards. Resources include
World Bank e-Library is an electronic portal of the World Bank’s full-text collection of books, reports and other documents on social & economic development. It brings together in a fully indexed and cross-searchable database, over 1400 titles published by the World Bank during the past several years plus every new title as it is published.
World Development Indicators Online is the premier database on the global economy. It contains comprehensive data for over 550 development indicators and time series data from 1960 for over 200 countries and 18 Country groups. Data outputs can be indexed, viewed as graphs, and exported in standard formats including Excel. WDI Online is updated periodically with annual data loaded in May.
Global Development Finance Online offers external debt and financial flow data for the 138 countries that report public and publicly guaranteed debt to the World Bank debtor reporting system. Time Series data include over 200 Indicators from 1970. Technical features include graphing and easy export options including Excel.
GDF Online is updated periodically with annual data loaded in January. Subscription to GDF Online includes access to country and summary data in PDF format.
The Ford Foundation supported CJHR project with grants called “Strengthening Criminal Justice and Human Rights in India” to focus on research and advocacy on the Criminal Justice in India with the larger aim of providing possible directions for reforms and policy initiatives. The Project was over in August 2005. The Project presented its Report in print volume of case laws and related materials on different aspects of human rights as well as international human rights instruments which will serve as ready reference for human rights courses. 507 books were purchased for the Library under this grant.
