UPLOADING VIDEOS AND DOCUMENTS
To attach a file to a reply, click on the add button, select the file, and click on submit. You will be asked to wait till the file is uploaded to the servers. DO NOT REFRESH OR CLICK ON ANOTHER LINK DURING THIS TIME. The page will refresh and reflect your upload and only then is it safe to refresh. Google Chrome shows a percentage uploader on the bottom of the page. The tutorial can be viewed here.
4 files, each up to 256MB can be attached per reply. Please note that the larger the file, the more time it takes to upload.
Our systems immediately delete the media which is attached in a deleted topic/reply as soon as it is deleted.
SUBSCRIPTIONS FOR FORUMS / TOPICS
The option is present on the top right corner of every forum/topic. The image for it can be found here.
A subscription sends you an email to your NALSAR ID whenever there is a new topic / reply on the respective Forum / Topic.
Go to the Forum / Topic which you would like to get notifications for, and click on the “Subscribe” link on the top right corner (on desktops) / top (for App). The emails will go to the updates folder of your mail. In order to get them to your Primary Inbox, create a filter to allow firstname.lastname@example.org emails to go to Primary.
Please check your spam folder for emails from email@example.com. In order to get notifications of such updates, we recommend creating a filter – from: firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject [NALSAR FORUMS] to appear in your primary inbox.
To reply to the topic, simply type your messages in the text box and click on submit. To reply to a reply (which creates a threaded reply), simply click on the reply button on the top of the reply, and a text box should open below the reply and you can type there. We support 4 layers of replies currently on our website.
We have a simple messaging system built into the website. Click on the Messages menu on the top right (on desktop) or bottom of the menu (on mobile phones) to see or start a message. We do not have access to your messaging. They are encrypted and stored on NALSAR Servers.
Please go to Profiles > Login > Edit my Profile after you have logged in to change your password. Alternatively, click here after logging in.
On the homepage, click on Edit Profile under the “Welcome” Heading.
