Vivek Mukherjee

Vivek completed his Bachelor's degree in Law from NLIU, Bhopal (2015); he further pursued LLM with specialization in Human Rights from NLSIU, Bangalore (2016). It was during this year that he worked as a teaching assistant under Prof. M.P. Singh and Prof. M.K.  Ramesh, which created an affinity towards teaching. In 2016, he joined COLS, UPES; where he taught for about an year. In 2017, he joined NALSAR.

International and Environmental Laws are his areas of interest. Exploring these laws vis-à-vis the locale of agriculture in India, is what he is working on for his doctoral thesis. At NALSAR, he is co-ordinating Law and Other Things (LAOT), India's first and most prestigious law blog and the Animal Law Center which creates curriculum on Animal Welfare Laws and runs projects in collaboration with Humane Society International. 

As a student, he was actively involved in theatre arts. In his spare time he likes to work on his culinary and percussionist skills.

I co-ordinate the Animal Law Centre at NALSAR. My research interest lies in Climate Change Law, Human Rights Laws, Privacy Laws, Agriculture Laws and emerging issues in Public International Law and Environmental Laws.
