About the Centre
The Centre for Excellence in Economics and Finance at NALSAR University of Law focuses on advancing interdisciplinary research and policy engagement at the intersection of law, economics, and finance. A key objective of the Centre is to undertake socially relevant, data-driven research projects that address pressing economic and developmental challenges, particularly those with legal and institutional implications. The Centre encourages collaborative research involving faculty and students, with an emphasis on fieldwork, empirical analysis, and evidence-based policy recommendations. In addition to research, it organises expert talks and interactive sessions with leading scholars and practitioners to promote academic dialogue and critical engagement. By combining rigorous research with public discourse, the Centre aims to contribute to informed policymaking and to nurture a deeper understanding of the economic dimensions of law among the academic community.
Our Philosophy
We believe in fostering collaborative research on contemporary economic and financial issues, bridging theory with real-world application. By actively involving students in research and dialogue, we nurture critical thinking and practical skills. Our mission is to inspire and guide students toward meaningful careers in Law & Economics and financial services, shaping future policy leaders and professionals.

Outreach and Engagement
As part of our commitment to experiential learning, students are encouraged to engage directly with rural and tribal communities through field visits and data collection exercises.
