Nandini Biswas

Assistant Professor of Law

Nandini Biswas’s academic engagements lie at the intersections of climate change, human rights, and environmental justice. Her research interests explore normative and structural questions arising from the climate crisis, particularly in relation to state sovereignty, environmental harm, and re-imagining legal frameworks through rights-based, ethical, and Global South-centred approaches.

Nandini is currently pursuing her PhD at NALSAR. She holds an LLM in Human Rights Law from the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore, and a BA LLB (Hons.) from Gujarat National Law University (GNLU). She qualified for the UGC-NET in 2017.

She serves as Assistant Faculty Editor of the Environmental Law & Practice Review (ELPR) and is a member of the Centre for Environmental Law and Climate Change at NALSAR.
