NALSAR Signs MoU with BRIC-CDFD to Strengthen Forensic DNA Integration in the Criminal Justice System

NALSAR University of Law has entered into a landmark Memorandum of Understanding with BRIC – Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics to strengthen the integration of forensic DNA profiling into India’s criminal justice system. Signed on 1 April 2026, the partnership aims to build a scientifically robust and ethically sound framework for the judicial use of DNA evidence.

This initiative reflects NALSAR’s commitment to bridging law and science, enabling the legal system to better engage with emerging forensic technologies while preserving ethical safeguards. The partnership is expected to contribute significantly to legal reform, institutional training, and evidence-based justice delivery in India.
