VPL- NALSAR Volleyball Premier League

VPL (Volleyball Premier League) is the annual intra-university volleyball tournament at NALSAR University of Law. Started in the early 2010s, the tournament is usually held between August and September and has become a popular sporting event on campus.

VPL is a mixed-gender tournament, where both men and women play together. Playing 6 of the team must have at least one woman on the court at all times, ensuring inclusivity and encouraging wider participation. The tournament also gives students an opportunity to interact with seniors and showcase their talent, often helping players get noticed for selection into the NALSAR Volleyball Team.

To make the competition more exciting, VPL follows an auction-based team formation system. Members of the NALSAR volleyball teams act as captains, forming teams by bidding for players from among the students who have registered to participate.

The tournament also features prize money, largely supported by NALSAR alumni who were former volleyball players, many of whom participate as team owners, adding to the competitive and community spirit of the event.
