Bazm-e-Vichar is NALSAR’s poetic collective, founded by students from the Batches of 2021 and 2023, along with like-minded faculty members. Born from a shared love for poetry and language, the group creates a space where expression flows freely and words find a life beyond the classroom.

True to its evocative name, Bazm-e-Vichar has grown into a vibrant melting pot of poetic expression—embracing not just Urdu and shayari, but a rich diversity of languages, styles, and forms. Whether through spontaneous recitations or thoughtfully curated poetry circles, the group fosters a welcoming and inclusive space for anyone drawn to the magic of words.

Throughout the academic year, members of Bazm-e-Vichar host a variety of poetic gatherings, but the highlight remains the much-loved Shayari Night during the university’s regional cultural fest, Awadh–Magadh. Set against a backdrop inspired by the mysticism of Kabir and Tulsidas, the devotion of Meera, the grace of Sufi traditions, and the lyrical richness of folk and courtly poetry, the evening becomes a celebration of language in its most soulful form.

It stands as a testament to NALSAR’s creative spirit—offering students a space not only to perform, but also to pause, reflect, and reconnect, one poem at a time.
