Vijayadheer is a distinguished Legal and Banking Professional with over 34 years of post-qualification experience and four years as Heading the Legal Department of a premier Bank i.e. IDBI Bank. He has expertise in Banking and financial laws and legal risk management.
Vijayadheer is a proven leader with a strong track record in managing pan India legal Operations of the Bank. He used to provide strategic Legal and regulatory advice to Senior Management and business verticals including Recovery, retail banking, SME, Compliance, Investor Relations and Legal issues relating to IBC/NCLT proceedings.
Vijayadheer also expert in loan documentation, security creation and Legal Audits.
He initiated legal knowledge-sharing practices through circulars and publication of IDBI Legal Bulletin, quarterly internal Newsletter. During his tenure in the Bank, he served as a member of various important committees relating to governance, investments, grievance redressal, IT & e-commerce, information security, Outsourcing and legal Support to the employees.
He joined IDBI Bank as a Manager (Legal) on October 17, 1997 and finally elevated as Chief General Manager (Legal), heading the pan India Legal Department of the Bank. 85 Legal professionals were reporting to him.
Vijayadheer was also deputed to Stressed Asset Stabilisation Fund (SASF), a Government of India Trust formed for recovery of loans of IDBI Bank. He was also heading the Legal Department of SASF.
Vijayadheer has represented and coordinated matters before the Hobn’ble Supreme Court and Various High Courts/Tribunals across the country. He also briefed the Senior Counsels and successfully handled the high value and complex litigation, insolvency, and recovery matters.
Vijayadheer is a regular visiting faculty to ICBF, IDBI Bank training centre, IIBM, Guwahati, RBI sponsored training centre, to train legal officers of all Banks.
Before joining IDBI Bank, Vijayadheer practiced in Law Courts in Warangal, Telangana and also worked as a Faculty in University College of Law.
Vijayadheer secured Gold medals in LL.M and LL.B.
Vijayadheer also acquired banking & Professional qualifications viz. JAIIB & CAIIB.
Vijayadheer also qualified NET.
