
Dr. Rajesh Kapoor

Dr. Rajesh Kapoor is an Associate Professor and Director of the Centre for Commercial Laws and Dispute Resolution at NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad.
Dr Kapoor completed his LL.B. from Symbiosis Law School, Pune. He went on to do his LL.M. in International Commercial Law with focus on international commercial arbitration from King’s College University of London. He completed his LL.M. dissertation in international commercial arbitration under the supervision of Prof. Martin Hunter, the famed author of the classic Redfern and Hunter on the Law and Practice of International Arbitration. Following his postgraduate studies, he joined NALSAR as a faculty member.
He was awarded a Ph.D. from NALSAR University, specializing in International Commercial Arbitration, under the joint supervision of Dr. P. S. Rao, Adjunct Professor at NALSAR, and former Ad Hoc Judge of the International Court of Justice, and Mr. Gary Born, widely recognized as the world’s leading authority on international arbitration.
Dr. Kapoor’s academic and research interests include Arbitration Law, Commercial Law, and Constitutional Law. He serves as the Revising Author of India’s leading textbook on contract law, Avtar Singh’s Contract and Specific Relief Act (13th Edition), and has made significant contributions to the revision of the 11th and 12th editions of V. N. Shukla’s Constitution of India.
