K. Vidyullatha Reddy (On Sabatical)

She has three decades of teaching experience. She was working for the last twenty-five years for NALSAR. She did her PhD in the field of environmental Law. She is the Director of the Centre for Environmental Law of the University for nearly two decades. Many research studies and other activities were conducted as part of the Centre activities. She teaches law of evidence, Banking and Finance laws besides environmental Law. She has published two editions of the book titled “Solid Waste-Law and Practice”. She has edited a book on consumer Law and published more than 20 research papers. She is the editor-in-chief of the university environmental law journal titled “Environmental Law and Practice Review”, So far ten volumes of the journal are published. It is available on heinonline database. She has conducted many research projects, such as study on coparcenary rights of women which contributed to the amendments aiding women in India to secure property rights, study on Hyderabad waste management. She was part of the project which helped in establishing a legal aid centre within the Warangal district court premises. She was invited as a speaker and as a resource person at many places including State Judicial Academy, National Academy of Direct Taxes, RBI officers training program, Consumer court presiding officers training program. She won the State best teacher award. She served as member of State CII, State Legal Aid Committee and State biodiversity board.

She has huge administrative experience besides research and teaching. She worked as registrar of the University. She worked as Head of the Management Department of the University. She worked as exam committee convener, moot court committee convener, admission committee convener, placement committee convener of the University besides being member of various other committees. She served and continue to be a member of all University Governing Bodies: Academic Council, Executive Council and General Council. She coordinated and institutionalized legal aid at NALSAR, enormous studies, reports and counselling to the society was undertaken through these initiatives. she even worked as I/c Principal for a private law college for four years before joining NALSAR. She can be described as a fine academician with huge administrative experience.

I have been actively involved in various research projects undertaken by the University which include project on grievance redress funded by Centre for good governance, Government of A.P, Coparcenary rights of women funded by National Commission for Women, solid waste management in Hyderabad city funded by Ministry of Environment and Forests, Nano technology and its impact on environment funded by Sastri Indo-Canadian Institute besides others.

I participated the Law Teaching and Legal Research Skills Program at Cardiff University, sponsored by British Council and Cardiff University, U.K.

I am the editor-in-chief of Environmental Law and Practice Review (ELPR) the university environment Centre journal.

CurrentlyI am offering Bio safety Law, and Regulation of Financial services as seminar papers. I am also co- coordinating the legal aid and social justice clinic students.

I propose to develop seminar courses in competition law and energy law.
