I hold a bachelor’s degree in law from National University of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi and graduated therefrom in 2018 with a Gold Medal for International Law Honors. After my graduation,I got admittedinto the LL.M. program atNALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad. Here I became the recipient forthe Nani A. Palkhivala Memorial Gold Medal for being the overall batch topper for the academic year 2018-19.During my Master’s programI got to work as a Teaching Assistant to Professor AmitaDhanda for the Law and Poverty course. I feel thatthis particularwork assignmenthas had a significant impact onmy life in terms of determining the kind of lawyering-teaching-activismI intend to be doing in the years to come.

After my Masters, I joined NALSAR in the capacity of a Research Associate at the Centre for Disability Studies (CDS) and also at the Centre for Legal Philosophy and Justice Education.During that time, I assisted the CDS team inorganizinga week-long Winter School on ‘Fostering Research in Disability’ focused on engaging with questions pertaining to issues of voice, representation and participation for persons with disability in law-making and cultural processes.In July, 2020, atthe end of this one-year stint as a Research Associate, I got offered a full-time teaching position as an Assistant Professor here at the academy.

I am currently co-teaching courseson Legal Ethicsand Legal Methodsat the undergraduate level, and myresearch interestslie inareas of PublicInternational Law, Jurisprudence and Queer Theory. My works often involve interdisciplinary studies carrying elements of media, popular culture and law.
