Utkarsh Leo

Utkarsh Leo is an Assistant Professor at NALSAR University of Law. He teaches Law & Economics, Mediation and Conflict Resolution, and Blockchain and Law.  His research and related work  addresses  economics and public policy, regulation of blockchain technology, and smart contract dispute resolution. He is associated with Civil Mediation Council (United Kingdom) and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (United Kingdom). 

Prior to joining the Nalsar faculty, he has worked for over two years in the field of alternative dispute resolution. He has served as a manager  or consultant for Chola MS, Excell Care Services, Government of Jharkhand, and Jharkhand Police. Utkarsh has received soft skill and leadership development training from Mckinsey & Company. His honours include an award by the Cachar District Judiciary, Assam for his work in alternative dispute resolution and a social-leadership award from the Governor of Jharkhand for creating eye donation awareness in the state.


He holds a B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) from KIIT University (India),  and an LL.M. in International Business Law from the University of Central Lancashire (United Kingdom).
