CIRP Simulation Competition 2026
Registrations are now open for the CIRP Simulation Competition 2026, organised by the LL.M. (Insolvency and Bankruptcy Laws) Batch of 2025–27 at NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad, as part of the National Conclave on Insolvency & Bankruptcy Laws (NCIBL) 2.0.
This competition offers a unique experiential platform for students to engage with the Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP) under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016.
About the Competition
The CIRP Simulation Competition is designed to provide participants with a practical, immersive experience of insolvency proceedings.
Participants will go through the entire lifecycle of CIRP, including:
- Drafting and submission rounds
- Presentations before simulated Committee of Creditors (CoC)
- Hearings before a simulated National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) Bench
The competition closely replicates real-world insolvency proceedings, enhancing both legal and strategic understanding.
Prize Money
- ₹50,000 – Winning Team
- ₹30,000 – Runner-Up Team

Eligibility Criteria
The competition is open to students pursuing:
- 3-year or 5-year LL.B. programmes
- LL.M. programmes
- Undergraduate or Postgraduate programmes in Finance, Management, Economics, or allied disciplines
Team Composition
Each team must consist of two members, taking on the roles of:
- Interim Resolution Professional (IRP) / Resolution Professional (RP)
- Resolution Applicant (RA)
Registration Details
- Early Bird Fee: ₹4,000 per team (till 25 March 2026)
- Regular Fee: ₹5,000 per team
